Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Kappa Omicron Lambda Chapter presents Alpha Academy: Go To High School, Go To College. This program is open to all young men in grades 6th through 12th grade. Parent and student informational meetings will be taking place throughout September 2022.

John “Max” Trujillo III was born and raised in Fairfield, California. Max received two Associate’s Degrees from Solano Community College and then transferred to Texas. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in African American Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. From there, Max came home to the Bay Area to pursue his Master’s Degree from San Francisco State. Max received his Master’s Degree in Ethnic Studies focusing on Comparative Ethnic Studies researching Third Worldism between both the Brown Berets and Black Panther Party. Max has worked in the education field for almost 13 years. Starting out as a Youth Development Professional for the Boys & Girls Club of El Paso, then the Teen Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Club of Napa Valley in American Canyon. Max worked as the Program Coordinator for Upward Bound at Diablo Valley College from 2018-2021. He currently works at Los Medanos College as the Program Coordinator for Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS). He serves as the Vice President for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Kappa Omicron Lambda Chapter seated in Vallejo, CA. Lastly, he is the chairman for Alpha Academy, a college readiness program for young men to promote access to high school and higher education.
